EmbraerX and Airservices Australia release Concept of Operations for Urban Air Mobility

Embraer – 1/12/2020 – EmbraerX, Embraer’s disruptive business subsidiary, and Airservices, Australia’s civil air navigation service provider, have developed a new concept of operations (CONOPS) for the air taxi market, also known as urban air mobility (UAM). Going forward, Eve Urban Air Mobility Solutions, the new EmbraerX spin-off, will be responsible for this partnership with Airservices and for the development of Urban Air Traffic Management solutions. Australia is one of the countries benefitting from this innovation revolution and is attracting industry interest and investment, largely due to strong government support and a world-leading aviation safety record. High Tech Campus Eindhoven launches first field lab for autonomous drones in the European Union

UAS weekly – 22/12/2020 – High Tech Campus Eindhoven (HTCE) initiates the rollout of a new generation of advanced autonomous aviation digital infrastructure. This will benefit the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) of cities in a safe, secure and regulated way. HTCE  has appointed the SERENDIPITY B.V. to execute the technical coordination of its field lab. “With the rise of drone use, flying taxis and autonomous last-mile delivery, we need to prepare ourselves for the future,” says Jan-Willem Neggers, HTCE Managing Director. The field lab will be part of the Flying Forward 2020 consortium (FF2020) and ecosystem. FF2020 is a three-year collaborative innovation and research project recently funded by the European Commission. Le Conseil d’État suspend l’usage de drones pour surveiller les manifestations

Le Figaro – 22/12/2020 – Le Conseil d’État a interdit mardi l’usage de drones pour surveiller les manifestations sur la voie publique à Paris. Le préfet de police de Paris, Didier Lallement, «doit cesser, sans délai, de procéder aux mesures de surveillance par drone des rassemblements de personnes sur la voie publique», a décidé la plus haute juridiction administrative. Pour le Conseil d’État, une surveillance policière par drone ne pourrait être envisagée «sans l’intervention préalable d’un texte» qui l’autorise et en fixe les modalités d’utilisation. Sinon, souligne la justice administrative, «il existe un doute sérieux sur la légalité» d’opérer une surveillance à l’aide de drones… lire l’article

Reuters mobile – 22/12/2020 – MILAN (Reuters) – An investigation into a data theft at Leonardo has found that a hacker working inside the Italian defence group appeared to target details of Europe’s biggest unmanned fighter jet programme and aircraft used by the military and police, an arrest warrant shows. The inquiry, which is ongoing, was undertaken by Italian police’s cybercrime divisions in Rome and Naples and Naples prosecutors.
